Grand Champion

A thick aluminum shoe with a 2 degree taper at the heels. Hardened steel wear blank in the toe area. Designed by Ruel Darling and Jay Sharp for the Olympic Jumping team. This shoe has proven over the years to be very versatile. Because the Grand Champion is a large section of aluminum, it is not heat treated. The mass gives it strength under weight.

This is our original style of our Hunter-Jumper shoes. The shoes are made in half size longer in the heels to fit more horses properly. All have side clips and steel wear blank in the toe area, and sole relief. Available with our Leg Saver® Pads and Sticky Shoe Kits.

The Lite Champion features are:

Hot forged side clips to help hold fast in the heat of competition.
Steep angled heels for support, and made a half size longer for proper fit.
Sole pressure relief.
Heat treated for extra strength and wear.
Lighter than titanium

Thoro'Bred - Halverson Egg Bar Shoe

Designed with the assistance of Master Farrier Jim Halverson, this shoe features side clips, steel toe insert, tapered sole relief, punched and countersunk for either a 5 City or 5 E head nail. They are forged and heat treated for maximum structural integrity. Available with our Leg Saver Neoprene rubber 1 1/2 degree pad. Gives horses 360 degrees of stability and comfort from many types of lameness problems.

Sidewinder Barrel Racing Shoes

The secret weapon of many champion barrel horse riders. Being lightweight and with the side notches, 80% of the barrel racers have improved their time with these shoes. They give the horse more confidence on a variety of arena surfaces.

Thoro'Bred Turbo XT Hind Racing Plate

This racing plate allows the horse to run forward with no restriction by a toe grab or calk, then accelerate with the TURBO. By stopping back slip, the TURBO helps reduce injuries to the tendons, ligaments and back on any racetrack or turf course.
Available in sizes: 4-5-6-7
Size 7 has 3 Turbo’s on each side.Even though the TURBO is one of the best innovations to protect the racehorse against injury, it has been ruled off many racetracks and turf-courses without ever being tried or tested on those surfaces!
