Aluminum Racing Plates

All of our racing plates and competition shoes are made from prime aluminum to military specifications, aircraft grade quality. No secondary material is used in any of our products. We guarantee our finished products to meet those aircraft quality specifications. Our racing plates and shoes are hot forged and heat treated to meet every requirement in racing or competition. We are continually developing and field testing new products with the help of a number of master farriers throughout the country. Without their help it would be difficult to remain number one in the industry. LEG SAVER Neoprene Rubber Bonded Pads are vulcanized pads designed to reduce concussion buildup and shock in the front legs of race horses. The reduce or eliminate sole bruising (the red areas under the shoes when removed). Cured under heat and 75 tons of pressure, the Leg Saver pad will neither pull loose from the shoe nor shred away. They are available on all styles of Thoro'Bred front shoes, including Lite Champions and Egg Bars.

FORGED TOE CLIPS are designed to prevent the shoes from moving back on the hoof, and are available on almost every front shoe we manufacture. By forging the clips and not drawing them, no material or strength is taken away, and the hoof does not need to be carved out to accept the clip. Using a clip helps the nails hold the shoe in position, and reduces stress on the hoof wall.
