Pieh Tool Company's mission is to provide quality products
and education to the metal trades in the Western United States.
Blacksmithing Classes
The Bill Pieh Resource for Metalwork is proud to offer
a 3-day blacksmithing class geared toward beginner and intermediate
smiths. The course will cover the basic aspects of blacksmithing including
twisting, drawing, splitting, punching, drifting, riveting, scrolling,
upsetting and forge welding all using efficient propane forges.
Each nine hour day begins with an hour of instruction
in a classroom type setting. Then the fun begins! As the class progresses,
students will use the techniques learned to create projects. Classes
are small, ensuring lots of individual attention.
All materials are provided with the exception of required
safety glasses, notebook and pen. Students may choose to bring an apron,
gloves or their favorite hammer, although a full line of blacksmithing
supplies are available at Pieh Tool Co.
