KERATEX COOLING GEL
Soothes and cools muscles, tendons and ligaments after hard work
A
special Gel to bring down the heat in horses legs after exercise, so muscles
and tendons cool faster. A good first line treatment for sprains and strains.
Ideal for application after competition or hunting and during transport
after heavy exercise. Particularly suited to use on competition and race-horses
as it contains no menthol or camphor, or other substances, prohibited
by The Jockey Club.
Supplied in 1 litre wide necked tubs.
User Notes
After exercise liberally apply Keratex Cooling Gel to the hocks and shins, and anywhere else needed. Unlike many types of cooling gel which only anaesthetise the thermoreceptors in the skin to give a sensation of cooling but without any reduction in temperature, Keratex Cooling Gel actually reduces the temperature at the site of application.
Keratex Cooling Gel is water soluble so any residue is easily removed with cold water.

KERATEX POLYURETHANE HOOF FILLER
Professional version for farriers
A
professional two part polyurethane Filler designed for filling both small
areas of missing horn or for general hoof reconstruction. Keratex Polyurethane
Hoof Filler has a very powerful adhesive action to hoof horn and when
set (around two to three minutes depending on the ambient temperature)
it can be into and clenched up like good quality natural hoof horn.
An ideal product to carry in the van for those unexpected jobs needing immediate attention. Use what is needed and keep the rest for your next job.l

User Notes
Before application clean all areas with Acetone BP (NOT Nail Polish Remover) to remove grease and oil. Using the special mixing nozzles the two parts of the filler are mixed and should be applied directly to the site of the repair and pressed into place and smoothed with the wooden spatula. If the horse is shod put a piece of thin card between the shoe and hoof, so that the filler does not stick and can ‘move’ with the hoof. Also this will retain the integrity of the repair when shoes are removed. Once the filler has set hard it can be rasped and nailed in the same way as natural horn.

A non toxic

KERATEX HOOF WASH
A powerful disinfectant cleansing wash for the complete hoof and lower leg.
Where
there is a need to soak infected hooves it is essential to use a formulation
that contains no oxidising agents as these are harmful to the molecular
structure of hoof horn and skin. Keratex Hoof Wash is an advanced disinfectant
active against bacterial and fungal organisms found in the hoof, but without
any adverse effects to horn or skin.
Supplied in 1 litre plastic jerrycans, which in total will dilute to make 125 litres of active solution.
User Notes:
Many barefoot regimes advocate soaking the hooves to combat infections in the frog, but we have found that one of the main products recommended and used on barefoot horses, while a superb disinfectant, contains Chlorine compounds which will destructure hoof horn and other keratin based structures. Keratex Hoof Wash has been formulated to actively combat infections, but without any negative effect on the molecular structure of hoof horn or skin.
Keratex Hoof Wash is very economical to use either in proprietary soaking boots, or as a scrub applied with a stiff brush. Dilute 40 ml of Keratex Hoof Wash in every 5 litres of water used – do not use it undiluted.
