We can tell you how great the
"Getting Started The Right Way!" course is until we're blue in the face, and
you'll still be a bit skeptical. So now we ask that you read what our
students have to say!
Mr. Pistilli, Just wanted to let
you know what a great job you have done with the video course. To start with,
the basic forging exercises (of which I had no previous experience with) are
outstanding. After some practice, I am now able to straighten out a shoe in
only one heat, and in 2 heats, make a diamond or circle. The instructions in
the guidebook on measuring and laying out nail holes are very easy to follow.
The exercises on trimming skills, along with the source for cadaver feet has
greatly improved my skills and knowledge base; by working on the feet I have
been able to improve/fine tune many skills, and dissecting the feet gives a
much greater understanding of anatomy and the structures. The live footage of
trimming, shoeing, hot-fitting, and nailing help to show the proper way of
doing the job. If you are able to teach this much on a video, my only hope is
that I will one day be able to come to your school for some hands on
study/shoeing with you. Again, great job with the video, and thank you for
making it. Take care and God bless. Tom Neill Student

Sonny, "Getting Started The Right
Way" is what we all want to do. I suggest that any beginning farrier include
this material in his learning program and keep it as a reference.
The
video is clear with easy to understand demonstrations and dialogue to explain
important procedures. The program moves with a natural progression. It includes
many time tested theories and displays some of the most popular
equipment.
Sonny has outlined some useful exercises to help a new
farrier become more comfortable under the horse and with the horseshoeing
routine. His exercises for forge work are particularly worthwhile. Tommy
