Horseshoeing School Facilities

Shur Shod has been host to students from across the United States as well as students from Australia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, England, Scotland, and Norway.

The school itself is set on 150 acres in the beautiful Ozark mountain range near Grovespring, Missouri. Approximately 175 miles southwest of St. Louis and 58 miles east of Springfield, the school contains eight individual dorm rooms, a communal lounge and kitchen, a modern forge room with six individual student forges and a shoeing barn. Each student forge area is equipped with anvil, forge, and necessary tools for forge work.

The 150 acres are open to student's use; there are also several state and national forests in the area with riding trails open to the public.

For students who are flying in or traveling by bus, arrangements can be made to pick up students at local airports or bus stations.
