Invites you to get to know
Danvers Child, our Resident Farrier

As you've probably noticed, The Farrier & Hoofcare Resource Center has grown to gargantuan proportions. Even with the able assistance of Henry Heymering as Bulletin Board Moderator, it has become increasingly difficult for me, Baron Tayler, to single-handedly keep track of and manage the 25,000+ pages of information on this site. It continues to grow inexorably, and shows no sign of slowing down.

Our primary goal at the Farrier & Hoofcare Resource Center is to diseminate farrier and hoofcare-related information. And a large part of the Resident Farrier's duties will focus on optimally organizing and utilizing the Center's resources. The Resident Farrier's duties will include becoming thoroughly familiar with and versed in all aspects and sections of The Farrier & Hoofcare Resource Center: bulletin boards, articles, products and services, even the classified ads. Once familiarized, the Resident Farrier will help answer people's questions, advise them as to the best places to find information, develop concepts for revising sections of the site or creating new sections. Additionally, the Resident Farrier will be involved in publicizing the site, contributing content, and participating in planned outreach programs such as The Farrier & Hoofcare Resource Center On The Road.

Obviously the person in the position of Resident Farrier is not going to accept the position just to get an easy title and some glory. It's a job that takes 110% commitment and effort. With this in mind, we are both proud and grateful that Danvers Child has accepted the Resident Farrier position, and joined Henry Heymering, Dr. Crys Chapple, DVM, Jonathan Cohen, DVM, and myself as part of the Farrier & Hoofcare Resource Center Team.

We encourage you to get to know Dan, by visiting his personal Web Site. His past (and current!) experience and credentials make him uniquely qualified for this position.
