: Hi, I was wondering if you can use the Equi-Pak Trail for use when it snows, as an extra protection measure. How long does it stay in place?? Thank You

Hi Pam, Thank you for your question about Equi-Pak. Yes, you can use Equi-Pak in place of a snow pad for extra protection. You can use the Trail Kit for application but if you intend to use it all winter, I would suggest having your farrier apply it when they do a reset as they carry the larger tubes which are more economical in the long run. To apply, the feet must be clean and DRY. If you plan to use it for long periods, I would suggest having the farrier put some plastic gutter guard in with the shoe for added insurance. With this method, it will stay in place for the duration of the shoeing. If you just want to put some Equi-Pak aroung the webbing of the shoe to help prevent snow-balls, (with no gutter guard) it should stay in for several days, depending on icy conditions. Hope this helps. If you have further questions, please respond or call us at 800-483-8832. Thanks again,
Frank
