: Frank,

Since I can't use Huf-Grips with the Equi-Build, will this
material affect his traction in the snow? Which number
would you prefer I have my farrier call you at?

Thanks, Sarah:

Are you suggesting I use Equi-Pak or Equi-Build? Is the

: : Equi-Pak? Can either product be used with Huf-Grip snow
: : pads? How many catridges would I need to buy to do all four
: : of his feet? He wears a size 1 in the front and a size 00

: : products?

: : Thanks, Sarah
: : : I have been communicating with Danvers Child on the
: : : : Thorobred bulletin board. He suggested that I used
: : : : Equi-Build for my horses condition, which is broken
: : : : bars. I would like to use this product, but am
: : : : wondering if there is another way to get it out without
: : : : buying the dispensing gun?

: : : Hello Sarah, I hope we can help you. Danvers contacted me and asked me to look over the ThoroBred board. From what you described it sounds as if Equi-Build would certainly help the situation. And if Danvers suggested it, I would definitely bow to his recommendation. As to the dispensing of the material, it really makes it so much easier if you use the gun. If you don't, you could end up with quite a mess. If your farrier does this type of work, it would certainly pay for them to buy one. We also have a softer version called Equi-Pak which acts like sneakers for the sole. It has been a huge success. You can get the gun at no charge if you buy 6 cartridges. You'll use 2 on your horses front hoofs to start and it will probable take a couple of resets with the Equi-Build to fully cure the problem. Thats 4 already. If you or your farrier have ANY questions, please call. The home office is 800-483-8832 or please call my cell phone at 816-305-6984. I'm in San Diego area for the next few days but should be in cell range. Thanks for your interest Sarah and please call with any questions. Frank

: Hi Sarah, For your horse's condition, I would suggest the Equi-Build. It will give the foot more support. The gun is free w/ the purchase of ANY combination of 6 cartridges. You can mix and match. To your reference to Huf-Grip snow pads. Both materials should be loaded to ground level so the use of pads is negated. If you use the Pak, you can use it under pads ( as well as w/ Huf-Grip ) but for your horse, I would reccommend loading the material to the ground. Have your farrier give us a call. To do all four feet with the Build, you'll need 3-4 cartridges. The same with the Pak, less if you use the Pak but not to ground level. As to the length of time for this treatment, your farrier will be the best judge of this. Again, please call us if you would like to talk about this in greater detail. Thsnks for your interest, Frank
