Hi Patricia, Thanks for your inquiry. Yes, Equi-Pak can be used on horses w/o shoes but this is usually done only when the horse is limited to the stall or small paddock area. I have seen cases where the horse has thrown their shoes and come back with the Equi-Pak still in the sole but these are usually in dry conditions. I would not suggest trying this for trail rides and such without putting shoes on. If you're trail riding and throw a shoe, using our Trail kit will get you back to camp so you can then apply a shoe.
