: I'm a farrier who is new to using equithane. Can I only use equithane to glue on special adhesive shoes, or can I temprarily glue on an egg bar shoe to a foundered horse. (Just for a few days, till owner gets back into town and takes horse to vet.) Also , I live in a very rural place and cannot easily get glue on type shoes. Thanks.
Hi Jen, Thanks for your inquiry. Yes you can glue on your egg bars w/ Equi-Thane. Make sure the foot is very clean and DRY. Also, if using steel shoes, get down to raw steel by rasping or grinding the shoe, then clean shoe w/ denatured alcohol and dry. Don't touch shoe with your hands after this, use vinyl gloves. Call us if you have any questions.
