Dear David,
I can give you some of your answers here on the board, but several of your questions would require pages and pages.
Steel shoes cannot be glued on successfully with this type of glue. Our THORO'GRIP Acrylic Adhesive glue is designed for aluminum shoes and it will work on some polymer shoes also. On race horses, the glued shoe will stay on six weeks if necessary, and the benefit here is that the hoof has additional time to grow out with the possibility of repairing itself. If not with the first six weeks of glue ons, a better chance of complete repair after the second six weeks of shoeing with THORO'GRIP.
The product will cure in an average of 5 minutes. Hot and cold weather will play a part in the set up time. The product is toxic and must be handled according to instructions. I would suggest that you contact our company, purchase Wes Champagne's "Glue on Shoes" video, in either the PAL or VHS format. At the same time, request all of the information sheets on THORO'GRIP. We thank you for your questions and hope our brief answers will help.
