Just purchased a TB Gelding who, unfortunately, has feet that are in pretty sad shape.
(Lots of nail holes--he keeps throwing shoes). Part of his problem is due to conformation
and part is due to shoeing. He is pretty flat footed so he requires pads, and also his hoof wall
is thin, chiped and cracked (Again, partly conformation, partly previous over rasping). He was
wearing aluminum shoes with a flat pad but, he won't tolerate nails well at this point.
So, I have several questions. 1. Can the Easy-Glu shoe be used with a pad? Also, how
does the cost compare with steel or aluminum shoes? 3. Will the Easy-Glu hold
up under a hard workout such as a weekly lesson (primarily jumping)? I bought this guy
so I could go further in my riding. He's a great jumper, quiet, energetic, and well trained so
I'm hoping the easy-glu could be the solution to help me get his feet as healthy as possible
without losing too much riding time (and without spending a small fortune!) Sorry so long.
feel free to edit, and THANK YOU!
