Here is a case that could be discribed as "Clubby". I will post some rads of both feet.

The hypothesis is that , "Is a 'Clubby Foot' genetic based in nomenclature or pain based?"

My suspision is that the the answer is more related to "pain based". I'm not expert enough to accurately read the elbow xray..I'm assuming it is an elbow from the horse that owns the feet in the first two rads.

I've been working with a couple horses and a body work specialist with structural alignment as it relates to body balance, weight bearing and hoof capsule distortion. Nothing scientific mind you but enough is happening to make me question the genetic cause for club feet..or for flat feet for that matter.

It's so cold I'm willing to potentially hang myself and participate in this discussion topic Jay. It is unpleasantly cold and windy here.

I don't have enough knowlege or experience to make sense out of that xray but I suspect that would be useful information to intelligently participate in the proposed discussion. I would like for someone to explain that xray to me and confirm that it is the xray of the right elbow.

Looking at the picture of the legs, I'm wondering if I am seeing contracted tendons. The weight bearing leg looks to be in questionable shape from this angle the photo was taken at. I also think I see some inflamation in the right knee but it's hard to tell in one photo..I may be in need of new glasses brain defrosting.

What I would like to know is....did this horse have an injury or is the trouble originating from a congenital condition?
