Two firsts. This is my first attempt at posting a picture thanks to Josh.
My first handmade in over 15 years. I learned the trade in a handmade only shop, went on my own and after a couple years never did it again. I turned this concave in a few more heats than I used to do it. I had trouble with my punches, need to make new ones. I did hit it on the grinder because I made it with my stud hammer due to a cracked handle on my good hammer and it had thousands of little marks from it. I dont know how long it will take to get back to where I once was, a regular visitor to our shop in guelph turned shoes with one heat, I had gotten it down to three. Anyway thanks to everyone here for inspiration I intend to keep at it.

I don't build many anymore, but I had a bit of free time the other day so I thought I'd see if I could still make a semblance of a bar shoe. No great shakes here, but it would nail for money. And yes, I know, I didn't pritchel the nail holes out. Wasn't the purpose of the exercise.

Here's a pair of bar shoes 13" of 3/4 x 5/16. Also, a pair of plain stamped hinds made of 11" of 3/4 x 5/16. Did these yesterday for CJF test practice. I accidently made a pair of hind shoes for the same foot. They aren't rasp finished either.

I don't "get crackin" near as much as I should and because of that I lack efficiency which will be very important in passing the CJF test. Good luck and GET CRACKIN.

No nothing wrong, putfile likes to cut bandwidth sometimes if the pics veiwed to many times.

Here are a few shoes for my Guild test. The barshoe I like well enough, but this is my first sideweight, and I have never seen one made, so I fumbled through it. ot a good pick, the finish and fullering is nicer than the pic shows, but what about the rest of the shoe? What needs changed?
10 1/2 inches of 1/4 x 1 on the side weight
14 inches of 3/8 x 3/4 concave on the hind bar
