Does anyone know where I can buy or order a stamped keg shoe that is 3/8 by 3/4. It can not be a hand made shoe. Does anyone manufactor these types of shoes? I also need to know how much the shoe might weigh.

I'm looking for size 1. Atleast 2 sets. I like the ones with heels. I also need to know the weight of the shoe. I would like to find atleast 15 ozs or heavier. The problem I'm having is I show SSHBEA. They require a stamped cast keg shoe for the country trail pleasure classes. no larger then 3/8 by 3/4. Currently I have a handmade 3/8 by 3/4 shoe that weighs 16 oz. this is not legal according to SSHBEA for that class. My horses seem to do well with this weight. I'm afraid if I go any lighter my horses, especially the young one will get pacey. The diamond shoe in a size 1, only weighs 12.5 or 13 oz. I'm really at a dead end here. Any help would be appreciated.

As I see it the problem with your wants is that you are:
1 requesting a cast shoe that i presume is fe(iron)

does not exist in common everyday mass manufactured horseshoes

2 your requirements i.e. the # of pieces are not of a quantity that a manufacturer could economically produce them for you.

please notice that i said economically produce, if you areilling to pay the ticket anything is possible.

It dosen't say anything about weight for "Trail Pleasure". I didn't see anything in the PDF about "country trail pleasure ". :confused:

Yes I know the rule book does not say that but all the show sheets do say this. I have been told I could not show because my shoes were handmade and not stamped cast keg. I have been turned away by the DQP because of this. I think it is rediculus because I do meet the size requirements but not the "stamped" requirements.
Ray: I am willing to pay for the shoes if I knew where to get them, so if you know of any please let me know.

I do not know of anyone who makes that shoe as a shelf product, they can be made by machines but you would pay for a 1/2 days set up and break down, if as you wrote you are looking for cast shoes then you would need to purchase molds.

As noted, Anvil Brand makes a plain stamped "keg" shoe in the dimensions you require. The shoe starts out as bar stock, is turned on a hydraulic shoe bender, the heels are cropped mechanically and the nail holes punched by machine.

While it may, at first glance, appear hand made, it most assuredly meets the requirements for a 'keg' shoe.
