When we were leaving early on trips, the folks made a bed in back and the three boys spent the night there. We woke up around breakfast time well into the trip. Pure luxury!

Crazy thing I just went to dealership today to look at mini vans. Dodge makes a Grand Caravan conversion van which to me looks perfect. It has a metal flooring for the base. You can mount a sliding rack in the far back for your forge and anvle set right on the floor and have your tools case bungyed to the devider. I don't know just things i thought of for myself. shoes would fit perfect on the slide too if u made a rack. you aught to look it up on Ram trucks website. its under the pick up part.

Anytime you make an "automobile" type of vehicle do a truck's job, trouble isn't usually very many miles down the road....

I have "downsized" each time I changed vehicles over the past three trucks,( don't need the pe_nis extension of a one ton dually anymore

), and am currently in a Half Ton 2WD GMC pickup with a lift off Purdy Bylt body on the back. It has the 5.3L engine and I did have it resprung.... She gets 16-17MPG carrying 1700 pounds everyday, sits level, plenty of power, and I have 140,000 miles on her over the last four or so years. Oh...and Neil's body is as good as the day I picked it up) Hope this might help...
