Very true, I lived there for 2 years from 1974 to 76. I liked the ocean, near Toms River and Bricktown. Asbury Park was always a blast too! Really want to see my old elephants at G.A. so it comes down to talking Mommy out of going to Cancun so we can go to Jersey! I better be on my best to get that trip!

I like the Bloom Forge Knife

I don't know who thought of it but Gene's hoof pick knife ( the one in the videos) was the first one I persnally ever saw and it was a Frank Ringel out of Montana.
Frank decided he did not want to make them with the hoof pick anymore, so Jim started doing them.
Bob, really pretty knives, I like the shape of the handles, it looks really ergonomic.

I met Shayne last winter at a Forging Clinic here in Bend, he was a great guy, and very informative. I had to skip the 2nd day of the clinic to go to Florida, but learned a lot in the first day. I broke a good knife, and then I made this very short hoof knife out of the broken knife. I use it to cut out hoof wall to get to seedy toe. As you can see it has a greater michanicial advartage over a normal lenght knife. I know it,s a rough but it works good.
