When it comes to glue on shoes is it possible to glue on "lite" keg shoes? If so. What steps do i take to keep them on for 6 to 8 weeks?
Also what type of glue should i use? I only have superfast, but i know it's not recomended for that.

What would you suggest on my first try??

I would use what you call dallric ,dallmer cuff ,you fit the shoe as ever to the hoof .then drill the holes out and a few more to take screws .then screw the shoe to the cuff and glue the cuff to the hoof ..use the glue from dallmer ,superfast is good as well but you have to be fast ,,the dallmer glue gives you time .If it should come off before time it is then possible to glue it back on after a clean up inside ,i use a loop knife to scratch the old glue out before it goes back on ...i glue lots and they stay on 8 weeks no problem ..

If you glue just the shoe on then use Adhere from vettec ,,both ways must be studied a bit as there are lots of tips and tricks to both ways ..

this image is not a keg but you can screw what you want to the cuffs.

You can also nail onto the cuff fairly easily. I add a few 1/2 inch #6 metal screws to the top edge of the cuff to help prevernt shear on the glue/hoof interface. These will stay on for 3 months in wet conditons (not swamp with no release at all.

I have become a big fan of the Series III Sigafoos glue ons. Relatively easy to use and it allows you the flexibility of being able to securely glue on ANY shoe in your rig. (I even put on a set of wooden "clog" type shoes with this cuff).

I had a new mare with a super nasty busted up foot and too sensitive to nail. I took a St Croix lite rim, drew 4 clips (2 side and 2 almost toe clips) I set the clips out really wide so I could fill behind them with adhere along with between the shoe and foot. She's at 3 weeks right now and still solid. I think I'm gonna have to grind/rasp off the clips to remove the shoe, but that's a good thing right?

Another week and I'm at my record for adhere success.

If I dont have a sigafoos shoe, I cut an Aluminum plate (.090/060) to the shape of the shoe like a rim pad except leaving tabs (like giant clips) on each side of it just in front of the widest point. Huge side clips. I dill a bunch of holes in the big clips. I rivet the pad to the shoe, fold the clips up and angle them to the wall. Use your favorite glue to bond them to the wall. They are ***** to get off the foot after 6 weeks. They definitely do the job well.
