Started out as 5/8" sucker rod. These fit 5/16", I'm gonna make similar for 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2". If after all that I'm still enjoying making them, I might make some for sale. (probably not at the quantity I'd need for the market place)

Burned out my angle grinder while cleaning these up. (It was on borrowed time at 6 years old with lots and lots and lots of use) Gonna go get new a one before I make more tongs.

I pulled the cord and the switch out of it, and the carcass is already in the trash. (I can never seem to toss out the good parts:confused:) I've known it was on the way out of a while. New DeWalt is only $65 though.

I did them before buying a new grinder so I ended up spending a while trying to hammer finish them. I'll take a couple pic's of them tomorrow when I get home. Good thing I got them made, just in time for the competition.
