When we leave the storage area of the barn where Bob keeps his spare hames and such, you can go outside and see where he stores a lot of old driving/pulling harness equipment. He culls this stuff for the pieces he wants to keep.
If you're looking for hardware to fix up your buggy or cart, pull logs or just about anything else, come see Bob!
It's all under roof but is actually outdoors with open faced storage areas.
Okay guys... these are more likely to have been used by a cowhand than a blacksmith or farriery, but you might have seen a set laying around the smithy shop. What are they?
And more de-horning cutters.... Bob also has a small collection of 'pig snout cutters'. Basically a device used to punch a hole in the pigs snout to keep them from rutting and tearing up things. Makes the nose very sensitive. Sorry... I didn't get a picture of those. Maybe next time.
Okay guys (and gals). That was the last of the photos that I took from Mondays visit.
I've got about another 90 pictures that I took today. Many are multi-profile shots of some old horseshoes. Also some detailed shots of a few of the more interesting tools and gadgets in Bobs collection.
All coming up shortly!
Cheers!
Mark
