Bradley,
thanks for opening that up.
when I originally read the 1st post to this thread I headed to the shop to try fitting a pair of sno rims to a NB #2 shoe.
The rims shown are urethane material and I have found that the material is best ground on a stone , keeps it from getting gooey , as what happens on a belt sander(less heat)
As cut,the rims are in two pieces but fit nicely and I would expect to use no more than two rivets at the heels.
I did not bother to fully trim the rim pads.
The difficulty with making a rim pad for NB shoes is that there would need to be a # of different sizes of molds built the cover the line since the toe section is wide.
Since another everyhorseisapersonto asked about popper pads I thought I would include one in the picture also.
regards

thanks Ray Steele and Bradley !!!
Thanks the nb was the same as one i did this week ,but with a hind snow rim pad left in one piece and no rivits ,they are very thick rubber and could cut the rim out ,must say no snow size 4 nb if they where bigger then i do not think it would work so well,,,,the melt had the effect of them sticking to the shoe at the toe.....but they are rubber (bad smell)
are the other called popper pads ??? can not use that name here as it means something crude ,do they work and how big do they go??
thanks ray,farrier:)
