About 10 years ago, I had some city 5's shear and have "heard" of others having Mustads shear off. Any though'ts on the MX-50's? They drive and wring pretty nice....if they keep a shoe on may be another question? Thanks

I have had a lot of MX 50's shear off about a year or so back,. I quit using them because I got tired of losing shoes. Since I changed nails I have not had that problem. I like the Delta or Capewell the best. Vector is also a good back up.

I would personally like the nails to have a explosive -charge that releases the shoe , at six weeks. They held two front shoes on , for 1 whole year ,on a horse i shod. It is all in hoof prep, and fit, I think.

MX 70 for the sz 3,4 and 5 kerk DF shoes With clips I have no problem with horses keeping their shoes, Occasionally a nail may shear but the shoes stay on.
