how you going to fit the shoe , what type of heel you going forge , toe clip or 1/4 clips etc .it makes a difference
cut 11 1/2" of steel and work it out from there , you will either need more or less , practice will tell you

Theres a thread somewhere on here about the horse. Fractured tibia two different times. It would be what you call the spiral shoe. It's 1/2x1 or little more on the inside and 5/16x7/8 on the outside. The horse has been in a similar shoe since may of 2010, it used to have a trailer on it, finally convinced them she didn't need it.

Just having some more time with the winter upon us! Here are a few pictures from this month. First is 18" of .5 by 1.25, yes I did make the pair with a striker, but fit and shod the horse alone.

And my first french toe weight bar shoe.
