The "feed-back" has been great. The Friday night group, mostly owners/trainers/vets, was really impressed by the presentation, especially involving pigeon-toed maintenance. Most had no realization how much is involved in proper hoof-care and were eager to learn more. Many purchased trimming videos and wiped out the "free" literature.
The practical clinic was also well received. Some had previous NB experience while others had none. Some with previous experience were intrigued as how detailed the exfoliation/mapping process was and some with no experience with it were over-whelmed with the subjects depth.
A couple of farriers off the race track were anxious to apply some of the principles there, especially after visiting with one of the attending farriers that has about 200 race horses (TB & a few QH)) using many of the NB principles, including the PLR shoes.
There were many requests for a follow-up session. Plans are in the "mill" for this to be an annual event.
Gene Ovnicek stated it was one of the best clinics he has conducted due to the advanced knowledge of most of the farriers/vets present.
