On the TB I posted, she did not walk off all that well, but I stopped by today to look and she was normal. Even trotted up to see us. I was quite relieved. I had been thinking maybe I should have done it in a couple sessions as I would usually do, but I wasn't sure that was "in the cards".

I saw more like those at the horse rescue. When the entire hoof capsule grows out about the same, that's what they'll be like...no flares. It's nice that none of the feet were thrown off mediolaterally or then you'd have had wry feet to deal with too.

Either way, it's sure nice to see the difference between before you started and after you finished when there's so much overgrowth there to work with.

In the pic of the finished LF you posted (side view), looked as though that mare had some arthritis going on in the pastern area. I hope the owner will keep her on a regular trim schedule from now on. She can only get better!
