Anyway, the point is that they are a non-native (invasive) species. Sound conservation practice usually involves trying to prevent the introduction of invasive species or even eradicate them.

I'm not sure if you're referring to the management of invasive species or the mustang stuff but invasive species do a ton of damage that costs us money one way or the other.

Some non-native species are addressed in such a way as to not cost much. For instance feral pigs (both domestic pigs that have gone wild and European pigs that were brought over to stock hunting preserves and escaped) are still hunted. We use them for sport, sell licenses and keep the numbers down.
