Hey Redd, you hear anything about this ? Robert Perrys family has a large Circus down there.
The RSPCA have now declared war on Jockeys now only allowed to hit the horse 5 times in the last 200mts jockeys have gone on strike and could stop the Melbourne cup
with fines up to $75000 the RSPCA in Australia is now stacked with animal fanatics
todays Editorial in the Adelaide news paper the sunday mail telling Jockeys to end this barbarity the whip in the same paper about 10 pages of horse racing fields & results
does horse racing results help sell newspapers yes it does. is this double standards
in the city of Adelaide with about 4 stabbings every night the sunday mail is on the wrong track mark my word Fishing will be next.

Being a TB racing fan, supporter, and formerly professionally involved in the sport, I feel there are many instances where Jockeys use the whip excessively. When they do there should be consequences. However I don't think you can put a limit on the use of the whip. Nor can you take it away because it is a vital aid to the jockey.

Unfortunately, I probably won't see the end of it in my lifetime. Beating them with a whip is the least of the issues with the racing industry.
