BS-Horseshoeing in gray
I don't know George, is it that you have to have the CJF to take the test even over there, not that they are granted the WCF (not wcb) credential. So the CJF is more observed as the training equivalant of there apprentice progarm up to that point and not equivalant to their test.

Council’s prescribed course of civilian training for registration purposes under section 7(1)(b) of the Farriers (Registration) Act 1975, as amended is a four year and two month Advanced Apprenticeship in Farriery, including 23 weeks at College and the following mandatory outcomes:
(i) DipWCF (Technical Certificate)
(ii) Farriery NVQ Level 3
(iii) Communication Level 2 and Application of Number Level 2 (Key Skills)
(iv) College Certificate in Business and Information Technology Skills
The apprenticeship scheme is administered by the Farriery Training Agency. The examining body for the DipWCF is the Worshipful Company of Farriers.
Other Recognised Qualifications for Registration
In addition to the DipWCF examination the Farriers Registration Council also recognises certain other qualifications as meeting the standard for registration. The approved qualifications are currently:
Examining Body Qualification
Worshipful Company of Farriers RSS (Registered Shoeing Smith) pre October 1979
The Army Class II, BII, CMF
Irish Horse Board RF (Registered Farrier)
American Farriers Association CJF (Certified Journeyman Farrier) *
* In accordance with the Act, the FRC also requires proof of two years regular and gainful engagement in shoeing horses subsequent to achievement of this qualification prior to registration.
I guess we need someone from England to answer these questions.
I think the FRC website already has.

Any AFA CJF who can prove two years full time experience after passing the CJF test apparently meets the FRC requirement for registration as a farrier in the UK.
