A lie consists of a willful intent to decieve and you certainly did not and will not be able to prove that our commander in cheif masterminded duking an entire nation (multiple nations in fact) into going into a war, for what?
It has already been proven repeatedly. There is no need to beat that dead horse again.

Uncle Fester wrote:
I don't know what else I can tell you when you keep insisting Bush is "directly responsible" for all the soldiers who lost their lives. That is the nature of war, in war we don't run up to the enemy and slap them on the wrist. People get killed that is the unfortunate truth. Thats why they call it war. Of course the guy that shot the gun or planted the roadside bomb couldn't be responsible. Is it your claim that every president of every country that has ever been to war in the history of the world is responsible for the deaths that subsequently occured?
Actually Bush and members of his administration have repeated their lies to congress many times. I consider him and anyone that aided him to be murderers. Perjury is a felony under our legal system in every state and U.S. code. Under our legal system any death that occurs in the commission of a felony is covered under the felony murder rule. Bush lied to get us into the war so in my eye every death is murder and while there are far to many dead American you have to through in every dead Iraqi as well. Personally I believe that he is guilty of well over 100,000 murders and counting. Those people should be tried for crimes against humanity in the Hague.

Uncle Fester wrote:
when you say I'm wrong are you disputing the congressional vote to declare war on iraq, was bush the only one who voted for the war?

Hmmm? We have not declared war on Iraq. Had we declared war there would be a whole different set of runs in place and things would be very different under the international law that applies. That would include the fact that those taken to Gitmo from Iraq would have to be treated as POW's instead of as the disappeared.

Steve,

To me a lie is a lie. I do not have a lot of respect for liers. However, a lie about s-e-x and a lie about WMD's that take a nation to ware are tow very different kinds of like with vastly different results.

Are they??? Although we could "what if..." all day long......what if Bill Clinton (and his gang of thieves) had as much focus on bagging and tagging Bin Laden instead of bagging interns...maybe 9-11 would not have happened??? If they had killed him before he hatched the 9-11 plan??? We'll never know for sure.

Now, I sure wish old dubya would have just flattend Afghanistan, wiped out 90% of it's population, instead of dorking around with Iraq....maybe that message would have "inspired" the middle east more??? B-52's can kill more people than any army on the ground can. Had I been "king".......:D

I still wonder what changed Libyia's kadafi???? He did a complete 180....and no-one really knows why?

I feel the same way Steve. What if we conquered the Middle East and made it part of our country? How much revenue would owning mmost of the oil produced in the world generate? I know it will never happen, but you gotta whatif a little bit.
Also, what about the tird toweron 9-11? The one collapsed so uniformly, but was not hit by an airplane? Check the BBC news, they have a pretty good explantion, or at least seem to. Not trying to sound like a conspiracy nut, but sometimes I wonder.
Its as good as I can do it, every time I get to do it

I blame Reagan, who I really did like and still respect most of his policies. He just didn't respond about the Hostages like I would have liked him to do. Seeing as they were released as the ink was drying when he took over as president, he should have told our allies to clear out of Tehran and then make it a parking lot. The start of all the real trouble started when they let the old guys in the beards make the USA look bad. JMO, And about the planes , well I think the folks that went down in the field stated who the bad guys were ?

Good on you Steve your a rare individual especially at that age.

My Grandfather, my dad, my brother and I served. I did not join to fulfill a duty to country, I was a kid, wanted to travel, party and joined for the education, however I did realise if duty called I would follow orders. You must have done well in school to have scholarships why didn't you at least get your associates degree and become an officer and be a leader? Why the Army a high school drop out can join the Army.

Read for content and comprehension next time, I did not say everyone I said "rarely". It seems you took my comment personal.

Fish swim, birds fly, politicians lie - they get it with mother's milk. The difference being that nobody died on account of Clinton's lies, but the lives of more than 4,000 American soldiers have been shamefully wasted because of Bush's lies.

Personally....I think we need to start all over again...politician wise...

I'm with you. I really like Ron Paul, but the GOP's damnable "all or nothing" primary rules make it impossible for a candidate with limited funds to win the nomination - and Dr. Paul's independence kept him from getting the big money backing from special interests and multinationals.

Right now, I'm leaning strongly for none of the above, I detest having to vote for the lesser of two evils and both candidates are business-as-usual, follow-the-party-line, marionettes, one of whom will be voted in owing lots of favors to lots of interests, none of which will be ours. No matter who wins, we'll continue to have a de facto oligarchy instead of a democracy, but it's way yonder ahead of whatever is running second.

Where's ol' jug ears when you need him? Perot's nasal, irritating, voice brought to mind a fingernail on a chalkboard and his charts would sometimes insult the intelligence of a cretin, but he was dead right in his predictions about NAFTA and "That great sucking sound." Kinda like Nostradamus - just as French, only lots shorter. :)
