Swan Portaforge

Does anyone know anything about these forges. Supposed to be the best out there. Does anyone own one?

Re: Swan Portaforge

Loads of farriers use them here in the UK, they are used in all the gas forging competitons over here but I personally prefer Cliff Carrol forges, they are simple to maintain.

Swan forges are good though, I used one for all my apprenticeship. The only drawback is that they cost twice as much as my Cliff Carrol.

Re: Swan Portaforge

Thats a mayes forge. I dont know anyone who has bought one but the demo DVD I got sent showed it working well. Not sure what it would be like making shoes/fire welding in it.
