The horses were trimmed on Saturday.
Anywho its 3 days later and all of the horses are still sore. I've read here about a tar or something that you brush on that helps the bottom of the hoof toughen up. Can someone tell me what that is and where you might find it. Also, will it help the two with shoes. Also, what about a mud soak. Does soaking horses in mud help pull soreness. I seem to remember this when I was a kid. Thanks for your help!

Re: 4 sore horses!
Hoofit
If I have a horse that may be sore I mix some Keretex hardener and some sole freeze. I soak it into some carpet felt and elasticon it to the bottom of the foot until it (the pack ) falls off.E |

Re: 4 sore horses!
The tar you're looking for is pine tar, read ingredient label. My farrier for 20 years until I moved used brown sugar and betadine mixed to toughen up feet. Karen
