Really enjoyed this case Joey. Looks like you did a bang up job. Now just waiting for the horn to grow down. Will be great to see pics of the final process.

Re: Whoa! Where'd that come from?!

Hey everybody. Been busy, but here's those pics from... well, a while ago anyway.

I had to go up to a bigger shoe. This is one I had made some time ago with a few extra holes knocked in it. I was gonna make a new one, but the liner in the door of my forge fell out when I put the shoe in for the welding heat. I think I psyched myself out and blew the weld so I went with one I had. (I have enough of them... )

Not the greatest pics, I was running late for my next appt.

Nice work Joey. I like working on these kinds of cases, kinda rewarding to see a foot grow back nice and healthy.

That is Durasole. I keep a bottle in my shoeing box that I use daily. I use it on anything that doesn't grow hair LOL. I mostly use it after resecting wall on exposed laminae and thrush after opening up the pockets. I also treat the sole/frog with it before applying a shoe with a pad and I seem to have less "gunk" when the pads come off. I use a bottle about every 2 weeks or so.

I used a French Roll on the toe, so the breakover is at the inside web of the shoe.

This horse is now in a SSP with QTR clips. She's due again in a couple weeks or so, and should be completely grown out. I'll get some pics then.
