Do any of you useing concave
come out with your first fit

get what you can done with that fit
get hot again finish altering

then with the same heat punch the two stud holes
and still use this heat for your 2nd and final fit?

Are you saying to shape in the first heat, then punch both stud holes and finish shaping in the second heat? I typically punch both in the same heat. That is unless it is early in the morning, I haven't had my coffee and the anvil is still cold, then it might take 4, 7, 37 heats
