motorcycle farriers

I have now put my Harley Electra Glide and my Honda VTX 1800 up for the winter.
For me that means 6 months of just sitting on them and going ------varooom ------varooom.
That really stinks.

Anyone else in the same boat ?

my 2 cents worth

Re: motorcycle farriers

Still ridin', Bruce, 'ol buddy! Rode some Saturday, Sunday, and this afternoon. Both Harley's are still out but I did put the Norton away Sunday. My usual rule of thumb is to keep riding 'till the first time they have to salt/sand the roads. I won't ride after that.

That SC gig of yours is starting to look better every year now!!! Hope you're feeling better!

Dave

Re: motorcycle farriers

Dave;
Tha SC gig is open to you as I said when we had a drink in Connecticut.
I am riding down for two weeks to locate a campground to have as a destination when I leave here come next fall permanently.

I have two campsites already on my list and will have some more before next year.

Be a cool ride, the two of us taking a side trip on the Blue Ridge Parkway., or perhaps Bristol Speedway in the northeast of Tenn. on the way down.

By the way, if I haven't said it before, it was a pleasure meeting your wife and your son.
Let me know in the spring Dave....

Re: motorcycle farriers

I just moved to a new house.. We are working on the house so much. We have no outdoor storage. My poor xr250 has been outside all summer with a tarp over it.

Re: motorcycle farriers

Dave,

Another Norton rider! Nice. My Norton's still apart but the BMW is still ready to go. It's nice being in one of the milder New England states.

Re: motorcycle farriers

I have a '73 Commando that I bought new... went to Alaska and back on it when I was 19. Three of us were gone 7 weeks. Seems like forever ago.....Only rode it a few hundred miles this year. The Harleys get most of the play now.
