two hoof problems
Hello,
These are pictures of my 9 year old Rhinelander gelding. He was diagnosed with WLD a month and a half ago, thus the front shoes he had on were pulled so that the condition could be better treated. The attending farrier said that the condition was present in the front feet but that the back feet looked all right. Recently, I noticed these ring-like things on below the coronets on his back foot. It is more pronounced on the white foot, and the ring is slightly pinkish-red in color. The photograph of the black foot also has the ring, but the ring is not as pronounced. I would very much appreciate any help/insight on either one of the problems. |
