Mare off on right front

My regular farrier who I've never had a problem with before trimmed my mare last week. Everything seemed fine until last night, I noticed she seemed off on her front right hoof when she trotted. This morning she was kind of gimping around on it. I cleaned out her hoof to make sure nothing was stuck in it. I detect no heat or swelling in the hoof or the leg. I haven't been able to talk to my farrier yet. Any ideas? This is just weird.

I've had this horse for 5 years, never shod, just trimmed. She has 24/7 turnout, not on pasture and doesn't get ridden like she should.

Re: Mare off on right front

Perhaps she could be developing an abcess, you should call your farrier back and ask him/her to come have a look.
