Had a new phone call, and I knew it was in western part of PA.

"Hello, you do farrier work, and I need to know if you come by in this area.
I have two horses to be trimmed. How much do you charge?"...Mr. X
My response was, "I see from the area code you are in the middle to western area of PA, and I don't service that area, sorry."
"but I only have two trims."...Mr.X
"Sorry, I am from the southern end of PA; and I get for regular trims, $35+."
"Is that per horse!... what about shoes?"..Mr. X
I told him what my services were, ect and.......................
"You can you give me any other farriers names and numbers who would be able to come out?".Mr.X
I politely told him he was at least 3 hours away from me, and that I knew no one out there in area.

He seemed shocked beyond belief that I charged that much for farrier work.;)

I get 50 for trims and 100 for basic shoeing next door
anything out of my distric about a 30 k radius travel charges apply
some people just hang up when told this some a more polite
I book in only about a half days work 8 to 12 say can add a bit more if it suits me
I have to do this job for a long time yet to come so I pace myself
this lets me poke along steady and Ive very few excuses for ordinary work
so I try very hard to put a nice product to ground
I dont make big money that Im to buggered to spend and enjoy
I make enough to pay the bills and get plenty of time to stop n smell the flowers
golf fishing whatever
this is good O yeah
remember the flowers are a long time planter over you when ya dead
