To start your own Album(s), just click on your "User CP" (Control Panel) and click on "Add Album" on the right side of the screen. (If you already have Album(s), click on Show All Albums, and you'll see an "Add Album" link on the next page.
Once you click on the "Add Album" link, just follow the instructions. It is incredibly easy. The maximum number of photos you may have in an Album is 60. (There's no limit the the number of Albums you may have.) So you have plenty of room to do step-by-step photo demos of anything you can think of. Shoe fabrication. Tool making. Dissections. Anything!! Put up vacation photos. Your family. Convention or clinic photos.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Upload the photos in the REVERSE order you want them displayed.
Now... to use these Albums as visual aids in the regular Forum threads, do this:
To refer to a complete Album, first go to your CP, click on the Album, and copy the URL in the browser address box. (If you're using a browser with multiple tabs, like Firefox, it makes this very easy!) Then paste the URL into your post where you need it. Here's an example:
http://www.horseshoes.com/forums/album.php?albumid=2
The Album will appear in a new window.
If you want to refer to a specific photo in an Album, you simply open the Album, then click on the specific photo. Under the photo you will see two lines of code. One is the direct Picture URL. If you copy and then paste the Picture URL into your post, when it's clicked on, a new window will open and display the photo. Here's an example:
http://www.horseshoes.com/forums/alb...=2&pictureid=7 (http://www.horseshoes.com/forums/album.php?albumid=2&pictureid=7)
If you want the photo to display right in your post (which is what most people want to happen), copy and paste the BB Code into your post. Then it will appear, like this:
http://www.horseshoes.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=2&pictureid=7
By the way, you may also use this technique to display anyone's public Album and display to a specific photo in that Album.
Finally, I hope that you will use the above techniques to insert Photo Album URLs and individual photos directly into posts of ongoing threads, so that you keep the topics being discussed in their appropriate forums. This forum is primarily so you may post URLs (links) to Albums or photos, and that they will then be discussed in the appropriate forums. Let's keep things organized. If not, this forum will be removed.
