Not sure if I'm posting in the right spot, but I'm wondering if any farriers out there have experience with plastic shoes?
Also, am looking for farrier in northern virginia who is familiar and supportive of barefoot therapy.
Desperate- please help!

Many of us on the board use plastic shoes. What intrests you in them? What would you like to know from us about them?
Couple of sources for names of farriers/trimmers who study natural barefoot trimming techniques would be.
WWW.NBhoofcare.com (natural balance website - no list on the site you need to call the folks at the office and they make referrals of farriers)
http://www.aanhcp.org/ American association of natural hoofcare practitioners. (list on the site of barefoot only practitioners)

George thanks for responding.
Can you recommend a specific type of plastic shoe for a horse with flat feet, thin walls and sore frogs?
And what kind of success have you had, if any, with glue?
Do they stay on well?
How can I find a farrier in my area that is experienced with glue-on shoes?
It is extremely difficult to locate and acquire the services of an experienced farrier here under any cir***stances. My barefoot trimmer recommened this evening I find someone with alot of experience with glue-ons.
I doubt I am going to find a barefoot trimmer who shoes well, so I'll settle for experience.
Thanks.
