I've been shoeing an older horse that has navicular with wedge pads, egg bars, & rocker toe.
Well... this horse has real brittle feet & lost both front shoes:-( So now... the owner says he's not lame & want's to try NO shoes method because the horse is fine & she doesn't have the money to spend.
If this horse has true nav. will he at somepoint come up lame again without shoes?
This owner can't even affored rads.

I think the only way is to try it out ,with care at least for a time .
you must keep an eye on the animal ,because the owners that have no money ,will not want to see the worse ,because of the cost ,
I tend to talk them into a promise and a 3 week space and see how it goes ,the horses i have if not used tend to when standing around are not lame, only then when the owners get a lightning bolt and start to ride or something ,so make it clear its a test and if it does not work then ,the shoes must go back on right away..
