Here are a few pics to indicate sore hocks. Notice wall hemmorage as before...

Who has worked on a horse that went clean and after a time the horse begins to hit itself behind? Sometimes the nicks are on the hoof wall, coronary bands and even at the fetlock......

I always use "Buffy" to clean feet with; these are not rasp marks:

did he give other indicators other than hemmorage and interference or does he have a long history and these are being exhibited as "hey look at this, somethings wrong here" landmarks.;)

He is a "Bear";) when you take him off the hoof jack; wouldn't put his heel down and would toe hop until the "sting" left after being flexed...:)

Jaye,
So he hasn't reached the point where you have to walk him down the longest aisle way you can find before you work on the other leg yet?

Was that a run on sentence/:D

Thanks Jaye this thread was very helpful today for a horse that we suspected hock issues. I looked for signs of hitting and sure enough the marks are there.
