Anyone have experience using Lysol for fungal infections? I would like to use it but don't know what concentration, how long, etc. It's been raining for a week here and it's not been much different for the past two months, horses here usually shed frogs this time of year but the reason they shed is because of the fungus, not because of some mystical rite of spring. It's not thrush, not yeast, the smell is different though it looks similar. Once the frogs have shed it's fairly superficial but I still don't like the idea of it lurking in there.

hi there! ive not used lysol, however, i have used mule team borax (found in the laundry isle of the supermarket) mix it with some water and make a slurry, then you can brush it on with a toothbrush. or you can mix it a bit thinner and use it as a soak--ive had good luck with the toothbrush method twice a day. there is alot of info on fungal infections and thier treatment at www.barefootforsoundness.com. good luck! gwen
