I found some in my shoeing supplys. Im guessing my dad bought them for some reason, but he had no clue where they came from. They are ust like Sx8's but a slightly wider web at the heel. I was just wondering if they were a cheaper knockoff or more expensive and where to get them. I cant find them anywhere. Also they are (I think) in Euro sizes. The 7 is compairable to an 0 and the 8 to a 1? This sound right?
Thanks!

They are a Grand Circuit shoe. About the same cost as the others, and they are Euro sized. Meader Supply Corp. , (800-446-7737), has them available. They seem to have a very aggresive square toe on the hind patterns and a blunt front toe pattern, typical "euro" shape. Dave

Grand Circuit advertises "You don't get paid for pounding iron." They claim that they require fewer blows to fit. I used a pair and I thought they were a pain to fit.

I've seen their ad and have used their shoes...my feeling is you DO get paid for pounding iron if you charge for it....if the farrier plans to just pull shoes out of the box and nail 'em on, then yeah, these might not be the shoes for him/her...afterall, shaping is a useless waste of time ;)
they work good on 'square feet'...seem better on size 3 and up (although that would be 9's and up the way they size them).. they are durable, gotta give them that...plenty of resets

You get paid for making the iron do what you tell it to do with your hammer. You get a raise when you get better at it. You make the big bucks when you fix the horses the cold iron hangers worked on.
Always shoe hot.

I bought a box each of size 6 through size 11........ I've used most of them and wont be ordering any more ... they just dont fit most of the horses I work on ... the clips are too big and bulky.... as I said in a previous post, you can reset them a lot
I only ordered the fronts as I hate the way the hinds are made

I like the fronts reasonably well as they do well on some of the trail horses I do. I agree that the shape of the hinds is inappropriate - too "pointy". I like the NBS hinds much better for those horses that need improved breakover in the rear.
I have a clubfooted QH mare that wears then in the front. I take the one for her club hoof and rocker the toe to the clips. This has worked very well for her.

I ordered a bunch too, to give a try.. I dont think I'll be ordering them on a regular basis. I dont really mind the shape of the hinds, but in general they are a pain to work with.. They get distorted very easy. They are a very beefy shoe. They work well on big hoofs it seems, and square hoofs (like a morgans/saddlebreds).. But I definatly wont be makeing them my primary shoe. Im goging to stick with Extra-Ez's, Eventers and of course sx-8's.

IMO, the best shoe available is the Crothers concave. It is the only keg shoe in my truck, well besudes a few sliders and aluminium. Give 'em a try... you will love them!

The only downfall is the Multinail pattern, but I can suffer through it. I even bought 'em clipped last time...must be getting lazy.
