Hello all,
I just found this forum and hope that I will learn a lot from you all. I am currently having to trim my own horses since I can not seam to get a farrier to show up or return my calls.
Luckily, none of my herd have any major problems so, I think that I will be able to handle doing my own. All of my horses are barefoot and on maintence trims. Not that I really want this job and would gladly pay some one else to do it. Just can't locate one in this area that is taking new clients.
I am sure I will be full of questions very soon!

Amber,

Welcome aboard. I would definately recommend that you obtain Gene Oviniceks video "Natural Balance Trimming" which can be found here. www.NBhoofcare.com.

A picture is worth a thousand words. A DVD is worth ten thousand. :)

George,
Thank-you so much for the recomendation. I have already been looking around here at the photos posted on different threads and have learned a lot from them. I am one of those owners that ask a lot questions when I had a farrier. I would really like to find another one who I could pay to do the job, just here lately doesn't seam like it is going to happen.
I will definetly check out the dvd.
Thanks,
