:D
Here's some pics of a speciem foot. RF.
I have handed this hoof to many a farrier, vet and academic to formulate views of balance or equilibrium.
Some of our knowledgable members may have some thoughts.

:p Just for you Pard!!
Nah, the foot came with the Toe Clip, but not a bad application for this particular foot conformation.

I couldn't say for sure about balancing it without seeing the live sole plane,or an AP view Xray.
Everything else in the capsule is distortion and could well throw the farrier off if used asa guide to medial lateral balance.
My hunch is, (abscent of being able to see the length of hoofwall relative to the sole) from fixing a ton of feet just like that would be that the side that currently has the shoe fit wider is the longer one when viewed from the sole aspect and therefore should be trimmed to even up the hoofwall lengh from the sole, then the flare on the other side just dressed off. The flare then wouldn't come back because the foot would be M/L balnced intertnally, with no more wall shear. As well, trimming the steeper side usually widens the sole area on that side so there is no need to fit a shoe out there for limb support. The bottom of the foot can do that quite well all by itself.
