My horse has navicular. Does Gallium nitrate help? What does it do? How do I give this to my horse? What kind of shoeing should I look into for him? How much longer do you think he has to work? The vet said he has 7 spots on each navicular bone on both front legs. What does this mean?
Thanks

There are some who believe that Gallium Nitrate helps with navicular. I have never found research do***enting it as factual, nor have I ever used it. It is supposed to increase bone mass. It is a human drug used to reduce calcium in blood.
For your navicular questions go to the thread entitled: "Farriers Helping Owners With Navicular Problems". There is alot of information there to get you started.
