abcesses on both front feet?

I have a 5 year old mare that I just purchased about 2 months ago.Farrier came out for the first time to put on new shoes which was not happening.He said she must be sedated for the shoes to go back on.The following week came lots of rain & she became very lame.My vet came out stated it was an abcess so now I've been using epsom salt w/ diaper made a boot w/ duct tape and filled w/ water.Day 2 she now seems very lame on other front foot. Question: Should I go ahead and do both feet at the seem time,is that o.k.?Or should I make another vet call?Please Help!!!
