Some of you have described the age old problem of a crusty build-up at the cartridge openings after the first use. Sometimes a nail can be used to clear them out and get things flowing again, but other times the nail just pushes the crusty stuff back into the cartridge only to clog the openings again under pressure. Here's how to avoid the crusty mess altogether...
You probably already know that Vettec now includes a cartridge cap in every bag. They aren't just for tailgate poker when you want to raise and you're out of beer bottle caps. Use them and you'll save time, money, and product.
To do it the right way, you have to train yourself not to hit the pressure release after dispensing material. Leave it under pressure and take the mix tip off...don't worry, it will only drip a few drops (don't do this over your boots). Those drips will purge the cartridge openings of any semi-mixed material. Then just wipe off the residue, put the cap on, and you're ready for the next use.
If you're untrainable like me, you've already hit the release button, but not to worry. Just take off the mix tip, dispense a small amount to clear the openings, then wipe clean and put on the cap. One less frustration.
