I had the honor and privialage to listen to Dr. Rooney yesterday at Horseshoes Plus Spring Clinic in Barrington NH. He did a talk in the morning and then a leg disection in the afternoon. He is a great person and excellent educator. Treated everyone with kindness and respect. Very open to questions and discussions. He has a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience, has performed thousands of post mortems (sp?). What he has seen and learned is excellent information for both Farriers and Vets, he is like a blue collar Vet., a researcher with the work ethic of a Farrier. I learned a lot in just a few hours of listening to just the tip of the iceberg of what he knows. I highly recommend going to one of his clinics. We got lucky to get him, one of our stubborn Farriers twisted his arm after meeting him and he was kind enough to come. We are all pretty shocked that he came up this way, but it shows you what a great person Dr. Rooney is.

A remarkable vet/ pathologist , person and visionary. An asset to the vet/farrier industries.
With his experiences and writings he has taken the whole horse into consideration. He has taken each part the horse and developed venues to establish working orders in which no one part of the horse is over looked.
Combining each individaul mechnical system to derive a complete system.
He gives cause and effect for each sysytem in which his writings, of over 30 years ago, are still being referenced in "Today's New Science".
Again, a reccomendation of looking at Amazon.com to purchase his works. It will open your eyes into the mechanics of the horse:

Phil,
Knowing I had lectured at Cilleys, Jim Ronney e-mailed me to say the interaction with the farriers was great. See it works both ways. He's a good man.
